Pet Peeve Number One - Misuse of the word literally. You know what I am talking about. When someone uses the word literally but doesn't actually mean literally. Example: "I have so much work, I am literally spinning." ...or..."I was so mad, my head almost exploded...literally." Each time I hear someone misuse the word, I get this close to defining the word literally. I would politely acknowledge that while they probably do have a lot of work indeed, they are not literally spinning. Because that would be weird.
Pet Peeve Number Two - When people get on the elevator and push a button that has already been pushed.

When people over the age of seven get on the elevator and push a button that has already been pushed. It seems like this happens daily at my work. Each time it happens, I tilt my head a little to the side and wonder to myself if the person honestly believes it will make the ride go any faster...or just didn't get to push enough buttons as a kid.
This is how I justify letting my kids push all elevator buttons, open door buttons, and ringing doorbells multiple times. In an effort to get it out of their system.

I literally could not agree with you more on #2. I'm probably more of an offender on #1.
