Persistence

Does this look like a man who has refused to purchase a trampoline for the last ten years?

I grew up with a trampoline in my backyard (front yard?) my entire life, which is why I have been begging (begging!) for another one since college. And until today, I felt like I was making no progress.

"But it would be hard to mow under", Jeff would moan.

"Plus, it's too expensive. Oh, and the dangers of them!" he'd say, making up alarming statistics to prove his point.

And except for the one time when I lied through my teeth and offered to mow the yard for the rest of my life, I didn't really have any counter arguments.

"But they are so much FUUUUNNNNN!!!" I'd whine back.

And a trampoline is so much more than just a trampoline! Sure you could jump on it. Flip even.

But it was also a recital stage. A tent. A pic-nic table. A slip-n-slide. A sun deck. The possibilities were endless, really. (Feel free to vouch for me if you were witness to this).

Thanks to my persistent nature (that I so lovingly passed on to my son, Davis), I have finally won this battle.

I'd post more on the subject, but I need to begin contemplating which song off the Stand By Me Soundtrack I want to choreograph my first "routine" to.

Because clearly, I've got my groove back.
You can vote...Great Balls of Fire, Yakety Yak (Don't Talk Back), Lollipop, Lollipop...or maybe even a lyrical to Stand By Me. YouTube video to follow.

For the record, Jeff has officially admitted that he didn't know what he was missing.

So fun! i can't wait to come play. And for the record, although I never had my own trampoline (i think that was one toy we didn't have growing up)...I did all of those things you mentioned at either a friend or neighbor's house! Trampolines are so useful!
