Day 9: Something I Do Every Day Week

I don't do it everyday, but some days it feels like we spend our whole life at karate.

I'm sorry, tae kwon do.
It's been over a year and I still don't know the difference.

Hayden is now an Advanced Red Belt.
For those of you not in the know, that is the one right below brown belt,
which is the one right below black belt, which is basically right
below Mr. Miyagi.

Wax On! Wax Off!
(Let's just hope he doesn't get in a scuffle with a gang of bullies like Daniel-son,
because I still don't think he is ready for that.)

***
Side note: Jeff and I have this theory that you are
allowed to be five minutes late for every kid you have.

So, let's say I am going to a party with two kids in tow and I am ten minutes late...
TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE!

If we have all the kids - there is a twenty minute allowable window.
You understand the logic, right?
Someone inevitably gets in the car with one shoe.
Or someone needs to do a last minute search for their DS game.
Or someone forgets a diaper bag. Or sparring gear. Or cleats. Or a snack.
Or FILL IN THE BLANK.

Here is the exception though: Karate Tae Kwon Do

Anytime someone is late to class, the WHOLE CLASS has to do push ups.
Something about accountability or what not.

That will make a parent feel guilty.
The only thing more meaningful would be if I had to do the push-ups.

For the record though, the push-ups being done in the picture above were not my fault.
