One Hundred Thirteen: A Sleeping Baby

Last Thursday, Blake and I did something I've never done before with a newborn. We had a professional photo shoot.

Professional as in not JCPenney or Target Portrait Studio.

The pictures are currently in the editing stage, but I absolutely LOVE how they turned out. The photographer was so patient and taught me a little something about being patient as we would wait for the perfect shot.

The second key to a great photo shoot: inviting the big boys (and I mean all THREE of them) only for a brief time at the end. This photographer takes about 30-40 shots of each pose from all different angles and I knew I had made the right decision when Jeff was giving me the are we done yet eyes after only about three flashes.

The third key to a great photo shoot: Bribes. A promise to go to the Target toy aisle and an all-you-can-eat-milk buffet really does wonders for their demeanor.

All in all, I was at the photographer's house for about three hours. And although it will look like Blake slept through the entire thing once you see the final pictures, let me assure you HE DID NOT. It's an illusion.

Here's a sneak peak:
